Il est tout sauf innocent, puisqu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit du pr\u00e9nom de Tesla, cet ing\u00e9nieur, inventeur, physicien serbo-am\u00e9ricain qui a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle avec ses travaux sur le courant alternatif. En \u00e9tant un brin pince sans rire, on pourrait ajouter que Tesla est un joli nom, mais que le vrai cerveau c&rsquo;\u00e9tait Nikola. Les v\u00e9hicules produits par Nikola sont fid\u00e8les \u00e0 la pile \u00e0 combustible, permettant de recharger les batteries en roulant. Cette solution offre certains avantages non n\u00e9gligeables. D&rsquo;une part, pas besoin de d\u00e9ployer un r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique compl\u00e9mentaire, et dans une certaine mesure, un besoin de production inf\u00e9rieur. D&rsquo;autre part, en embarquant son propre prolongateur d&rsquo;autonomie, l&rsquo;autonomie est par d\u00e9finition plus grande. Ici, il n&rsquo;est nullement question d&rsquo;achat, mais de location longue dur\u00e9e, incluant le contrat d&rsquo;entretien. De m\u00eame, comme nous l&rsquo;avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9voqu\u00e9, l&rsquo;apport demand\u00e9 est bien moindre que pour le Tesla Semi, permettant d&rsquo;attirer une potentielle client\u00e8le plus large. Mieux encore, le dit apport est remboursable en cas de d\u00e9sistement (en tout cas c&rsquo;est ce qui est stipul\u00e9 sur leur site web, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 Tesla ne fait aucune mention sur le sujet.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;autre part, Nikola pourrait se trouver sur les rangs pour un march\u00e9 inattendu, sur lequel Tesla ne peut r\u00e9pondre : les applications militaires. En effet, depuis le d\u00e9but de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 2017, le <em>Department of Defense<\/em> se penche s\u00e9rieusement sur la pile \u00e0 combustible \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne, qui marie le meilleur des deux mondes : autonomie d&rsquo;un v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 combustion, simplicit\u00e9 m\u00e9canique d&rsquo;un v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique. C&rsquo;est d&rsquo;ailleurs dans cette optique que Nikola a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 le Zero, un v\u00e9hicule tout-terrain, permettant de d\u00e9placer soldats et \u00e9quipement, le tout rentrant dans un h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re de transport.
